8: 1+1 Special Class

Housed within Care-A-Lot Childcare at Grand Island, this 8: 1+1 Special Class (8 children, 1 Special Education Teacher, 1 Teaching Assistant) specializes in Social Emotional Development. 

Special Education, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Music therapy, paired with Wellness and Sensory Support Programs compliment our full day program beginning at 8:30 AM and ending at 2:30 PM. We utilize “Zones of Regulation” in our preschool program which helps children recognize and understand their sensory needs and self regulate. This approach assists kids in returning to a typical education setting.  Students also have access to a fully fenced playground complete with safety surfacing under gross motor equipment.
