February is filled with pink and red, Valentine’s Day crafts and cards, sharing meaningful moments with the ones we love, buying flowers and eating chocolate and expressing our love for others. In all this, we often forget that we also need and deserve love. And not from others, although that feels good, but from ourselves. So this February we wanted to share our favorite songs for kids to help encourage them, build them up, and help them love themselves.
One of those songs was written by our Owner and Founder, Megan Coltoniak, and is part of our Music Rocks curriculum called “I am Enough”. This simple melody offers kids a chance to sing the words “I am safe, I am loved, I am me, I am enough” or to add their own affirmations! You can find the melody in this video:
More Self-love songs for kids!
I Love My Body by Mother Moon
This is Me from The Greatest Showman
I Can Do Things by Stephanie Leavell
It’s You I Like by Ellie Schmidly

All of This is Me!
Another fun song to sing with your little ones is "All of This is Me" written by Music Therapist and Educator, Elizabeth Schwartz. This is a great song to use with kids that not only teaches names for parts of their body but expresses that all of these things, our eyes, our ears, our mouth, our head, they're all different and that's what makes us, US!
